International Shipping & Sanctions Policy
U.S. Trade Sanctions Laws and our 24k Jewelry. Who can we sell and ship to abroad?
This discussion only applies to foreign buyers outside the United States or its territories.
We can sell and ship to anyone as long as they are not in a country that will get us in trouble, or the person or company is on a list that will get us in trouble with the US government. The US Department of the Treasury has a subagency called the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) for purposes of making terrorism against the United States more difficult, which also limits money laundering and gathers financial intelligence against bad actors is the process. As a business started and based in the United States that sells jewelry made out of .9999 fine gold, we are aware that certain things cannot be done with our knowledge and should not be done by customers. Although we are American citizens and strongly support personal privacy, we also do respect and follow our country-of-origin laws to the best of our ability. For us, that means U.S. Law. As part of educating ourselves, we have done our due diligence around learning about the Sanction Programs and Country Information, and specifically the OFCA’s Country List.
Be aware that you should do your own due diligence around who is ordering and who we are shipping too as any time we are asked to ship outside of the U.S., we must abide by the law as we enjoy our privacy and do not want government intrusion into our affairs. If you order and we find out that your shipment is ordered or shipped to a country, individual, or company listed with OFCA or the Department of the Treasury, we will cancel your order, charge a 20% research and restocking fee and permanently ban you from doing business with us in the future. Keep in mind, even returning funds becomes problematic and may need to deposit them with a US Court for you and the government to figure out. Do not put us in this position, as no one is going to end up happy. Even Cartier, an internationally recognized jewelry retailer that should have known better, ran into problems and was heavily fined for shipping to a person on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List. Anytime we ship out of the United States, we will review the county, company, and person involved in the transaction. Save us both headache and make sure we do not have a problem and you will not have a problem, as at the end of the day, good business for all is one you can trust.
